Waterfall rappelling in Costa Rica is a great way to explore the rainforest. Even if you are not the most athletic person in the world, you can still rappel and have a great time.

How to book waterfall rappelling:
Most hotel concierges are able to set up an excursion to go rappelling. In our case, we booked our tour with a small travel agency in the town of Jaco. The tour consisted of 6 hours including transportation.
What the excursion consist of:
The tour guides pick you and about 6 other guests from their hotel. Then you travel for about an hour. When you arrive

When you reach the top, one of the tour guides’ demonstrates how to properly rappel
Luckily, I just went with it and had one of the best times of my life. First, we zip lined to the waterfall. Then we get ready to go down the first half of the waterfall. The feeling was exhilarating, I loved it. The water is cold so it feels so good because it cools you down from being in the warm rainforest.
After the waterfalls you take two more zip-lines to get back to where the tour vans are located. You are offered a snack and water.

My tip, don’t rush it:
This was such a fun excursion that I took my time rappelling to really soak
